If you have students who are unfamiliar with the details of a hackathon, we prepared a short video that explains exactly how a hackathon works
Waiver
Sierra Canyon is also requiring any students from outside Sierra Canyon to fill out a form and have it signed by one of the administrators at their home school to ensure they are in good standing at the school (similar to what we do for our school dances). Students will not be able to participate without this form so please help remind your students to complete this step.
Call for Help
If you are willing to help, please feel free to reach out to me (
jd@sierracanyonschool.org). We need all sorts of people such as mentors during the hackathon, judges, and just overall support (i.e. snack duty). Just let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.
