VRmont Cup 2026: A Game Design Competition for Vermont MS/HS Students As educators, we are constantly trying to use our students' interests and aptitudes to motivate them to learn important skills that will prepare them for their future. One interest that so many of my students had in common was that they loved to play video games. Not only did they love video games, they were good at them. The membership of the existing CSTA chapters in NY have approved the proposal to merge to CSTA New York. The proposed bylaws and leadership were also approved by over 85% of the votes. Thank you for taking the time to vote. As previously stated, this merger will create a greater opportunity for Computer Science teachers' voices from across the state to be heard, and establish a support channel for our teachers on a statewide level. Are you able to attend the awards ceremony at California State University, Dominguez Hills on Thursday, December 4th from 5:30-8pm PT? Did you answer yes to all of the questions? Our friends at PaTTAN are planning several professional learning events this fall, including cybersecurity education via capture the flag challenges (in-person 10/15-16, 10/22-23, and 10/29-30), a CS+AI summit (in-person 11/17-18), and virtual sessions for K-8 CS teaching and learning, grades 7-12 accessibility, praxis prep, cybersecurity, and remote pilot operations (FAA Part 107), among others! The Department of Computer Science at West Chester University is hosting an in-person and hackathon for local high school students in our surrounding Berks, Chester, Lancaster, and York counties.
