    Hello CSTA Kentucky Educators,

Are you a K-5 teacher looking for an exciting professional development opportunity this summer? Do you want to bring the power of computer science and artificial intelligence into your elementary classroom, even with no prior experience?

We are thrilled to announce the CS+AI Summer Workshop, specifically designed for K-5 teachers, taking place this July!

This hands-on workshop will provide you with:

    • Engaging, ready-to-use activities that align with elementary standards.
    • A deeper understanding of foundational computer science concepts and principles of artificial intelligence.
    • Strategies for integrating CS+AI into your existing curriculum in fun and accessible ways.
    • Networking opportunities with other innovative K-5 educators across Kentucky.
    • Support and resources to confidently lead CS+AI activities with your students.

No prior computer science or AI experience is necessary! This workshop is built to be accessible and empowering for all K-5 teachers.

    Workshop Details

    • When: July 22-25, 2025
    • Location: Frederick Douglass High School, 2000 Winchester Road, Lexington, Kentucky
    • Compensation: Participants will receive a stipend, and we will reimburse travel costs, including hotel.
    • Important Note: Attendees must be current CSTA members to participate in this workshop.

    Bonus Opportunity!

We encourage all CSTA members to attend a general CSTA Workshop on Monday, July 21st, also held at Frederick Douglass High School, immediately preceding the K-5 CS+AI workshop. This is a fantastic chance to connect with the broader CSTA community and kick off a week of learning!
