SMASH has a long-standing commitment to increasing equity in computer and tech-related employment by building interest, knowledge, and aspirations in computer science and tech for high schoolstudents. SMASH Residential was founded more than 20 years ago and provides Computer Science and STEM education for students in communities around the country. Our alumni major and work in STEM fields at nearly 3X the national average.
SMASH Residential at Northeastern University offers current 10th and 11th grade students a holistic and intensive three-week, cost-free, residential program during the summer that integrates racial and gender equity to help scholars build confidence, and the professional networks to pursue and persist in STEM degrees and careers.
