I've been informed that there are 20 more slots available for this virtual program at the prestigious Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island.  If you have students looking for a cool summer experience related to research, energy, or computing -- this one will be really interesting!

The Brookhaven National Laboratory Office of Educational Programs is hosting the Virtual Rising STEM Scholars Program.  The Virtual Rising STEM Scholars is funded by a grant from the Department of Energy, Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists.  The goal of the Rising STEM Scholars is to introduce underrepresented and underserved students to the research at the National Synchrotron Light Source-II and to computational applications that students can use to design and study research questions.  Throughout the program students will work collaboratively in the development of research questions, meet BNL mentors and learn about internship opportunities at BNL and the Department of Energy.
