See below for a message from BEAM:

Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM) is launching an ambitious revisioning of our 8th–12th grade programming. We are looking for five creative curriculum developers to design courses that help high-potential students from underserved communities transition from standard school math to cutting-edge, advanced STEM work.

    The Vision

Starting in Fall 2026, our students will enter a multi-year pathway. It begins in 8th grade with foundational enrichment and programming, leading into 9th-grade "Majors" where students spend three years gaining depth in a specific field, culminating in a significant 11th-grade capstone project.

    The Open Roles (Part-Time)

We are seeking specialist Curriculum Developers for the following five tracks:

    For 8th Grade (Foundations):

    • Foundations of Mathematics: Design a course in pure math (Number Theory, Graph Theory, etc.) that teaches students how mathematicians think.

    • Computer Science/Programming: Create an introductory but deep Python-based course focusing on data and mathematical problem-solving (e.g., Project Euler).

    For 9th-11th Grade (The Majors):

    Who Should Apply?

We need "math people" and "CS people" who love pedagogy. If you have 3+ years of teaching experience, have designed your own courses before, and want to work with an incredible team of educators, we want to hear from you.

Please share this with your network! We are looking for a unique group of people to build something truly special for our students.

    All the best,

    Ashley Sachariah (she/her/hers)
