The School of Interactive Arts (SIA) from nonprofit, Urban Arts offers a FREE After-School Program in game design and development for high school students. Applications are almost closed! Offerings are for rising 9th, 10th, and 11th graders for the School Year, October to June. Both virtual and In-person offerings are available. For more information and to apply online check out our Program Flyer.

Students learn C# coding, prepare for college, are mentored by industry professionals, and receive certification in the professional game development engine Unity, also while preparing to take the AP CSP exam.

Our application process is simple and easy. Students apply directly online and are then invited to 10-minute phone interview (we do not call students directly, they schedule a time to call our office). We encourage applicants to apply as early as possible. Spaces are limited and once all spaces have been filled, the application will close. Applications are encouraged from candidates including, but not limited to: racial or ethnic minorities, females, those who identify as LGBTQ+, first-generation college students, and low-income students.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Post-Secondary Success Manager, Joelle Blackstock at . I would also be more than happy to set up an Info Session for your students as well.
