    CSTA national is hosting its CSEdWeek 2023 Preview on Nov 16 3:30 PM if you are interested in getting the latest info on CSEd Week.

    TEALS is also hosting a Craft you CS Ed Week Celebration on Nov 9 at 1 PM and 4 PM PST with experts from EarSketch, Microsoft MakeCode and Dream Hustle Code with ideas for  CS Ed Week.   Use the following links to register:  1 PM PST and 4 PM PST

    Google is offering to have a Google volunteer visit your classrooom for a one-hour session during CSEd week.  To apply: Fill out this request form

    Codementum is holding a worldwide online coding competition Dec 1 -15.   There are elementary, middle, and high school divisions.  https://codementum.com/hour-of-code  

    CSTA also sells CSEd kits ($40), including banners, posters, and stickers and a "CS Hero" sweatshirt ($30) at Computer Science Teachers Association Store – CSTA Store

    Code.org continues its Hour of Code tradition with over 100 new Hour of Code exercises this year.   See https://hourofcode.com/us/learn for the full list of verified activities.

    If you have any favorites or recommendations, please share them with other chapter members by replying to this post.

    You can also register your Hour of Code event with Code.org at https://hourofcode.com/us/events   School-wide or other significant events may be eligible for SWAG or a software engineer visit.

    WINforCS has its virtual fall meeting on Dec 5, 2023, from 4- 6 PM.   2 clock hours are available for this event.   This session will contain breakout sessions discussing responsible AI use in classrooms, instructional strategies, and collaborative learning.

    The University of Washington's Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering (Allen School) invites high schools to celebrate with us! 

             Virtual Events: December 4th-8th

    • Open House: Saturday, December 9th, 1-4:30pm
      • Join us on the UW - Seattle campus in the Bill & Melinda Gates Building to celebrate Computer Science Education Week in person!

    Google has a series of live stream events at https://eventsonair.withgoogle.com/events/cs-edu-week-2023.   Events are on Dec 4, Dec 5, and Dec 6 at 10:00 PST live, but will also be recorded and available if you register.

    Microsoft is also hosting a worldwide Minecraft and Generative AI Hour of Code session on Dec 6 at 6:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 1 PM, 5 PM.   To register: https://aka.ms/HOCLive

    Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS (Technology Education and Learning Support) Program has released its 2023 CSEdWeek Resource Guide at

    Aka.ms/2023CSEW-guide

    It is a very comprehensive guide of CSEdWeek opportunities that are available nationally.    For local events, the guide mentions that you should consult your local CSTA Chapter (e.g. your friendly PSCSTA)
