    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give a shout-out to a cool opportunity that might be of interest to some of you in the CSTA Washington community: Google's Blockly team will be holding their annual Blockly Summit in the Seattle South Lake Union office June 3rd and 4th. You can get more details in this invite.<response-element class="" ng-version="0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER"></response-element>

The Blockly Summit is a free event that brings together software developers, instructional designers, and researchers who are actively developing tools and curriculum using Blockly. It's a unique opportunity to connect with the folks behind some of the block-based platforms we all know and love, like Scratch, App Inventor, and MakeCode, while getting a peek into the latest and greatest in blocks-based programming.

To be clear, this isn't a PD session, and it's unforutunately happening during the school day, but if you're curious about the tech and the people behind it your favorite Blockly-based environment, this could be a really cool experience.

If your interested in attending, please register soon as there are limited spots remaining. It's totally free, so there's really no harm in checking it out if you think you might be able to attend even just one of the days.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions, and I hope to see some of you there!
