Please let us know if you're a PSCSTA member and you did not get the email re: Oct/November events!  Well check your spam first, we're hearing a lot of our emails wind up getting trapped by spam filters since they're coming in from Membernova.

Interestingly, many people may not have seen this either because of the way members were added to this community.  When I originally tried to reply to this post, it asked me whether I wanted to join and how often I wanted updates.

Anyway, if you did not see the Oct/Nov mail either, here is the text pasted below (links may not work as well as in original text):

    Lots to tell you about!

    1. We're so excited about the How We Teach Computing Summit on October 29th that we're going to offer clock hours to WA State teachers who attend.  RSVP to the Summit by October 27 at 11:59pm and please reach out to Lawrence Tanimoto (tanlaw@hotmail.com) by October 28, 11:59pm if you're interested in receiving clock hours for the event.
    2. Additionally we are planning an After Meeting Gathering at Don Luchos in Seattle. Email csta.pugetsound@gmail.com to let us know you're coming (not required but helpful to know to expect you)!
    3. We are opening up our next Monthly Leadership meeting to the PSCSTA membership to share our latest initiatives and to discuss planning for the rest of the year.  The meeting will be on Wednesday November 2nd,  7 - 8 pm on Zoom.  If you are interested in joining our meeting, please email bricker@cs.washington.edu - I will add you to our calendar event and send you the zoom link.
    4. We recommend joining the next Sound CSEd meet up on November 18th, 3:30-5:30pm at Cascadia College. No RSVP required just show up.

    And in other news:

    • Encourage someone you know who is new to teaching CS to join PSCSTA!
      • It's free at the CSTA level.
      • However, if you join CSTA+ and are a PSCSTA member, CSTA will send us a portion of your membership fee so we can continue to develop great PD (that now we can offer clock hours for!)
    • Join the WACSTA Community group! Sign in to the CSTA Virtual Community using your CSTA log in information then jump in the conversation with the WACSTA Community by selecting "My communities" and select the WACSTA.
