    This online self-paced prep course will help you pass the WEST/NES Computer Science Endorsement Exam for Washington and prepare you for your first year teaching computer science.
     
    The course is based on the WeTeach_CS Foundations of CS for Teachers: Praxis Prep course, which has helped over 2000 teachers pass the CS endorsement exam in their states and has been optimized for the Washington WEST/NES exam.  An annual CSTA+ membership is included. The course has been significantly improved from the 2022-23 pilot version.   Course instructors also provide weekly virtual office hours/mentoring sessions and introduce content available to CSTA+ members to help you with the exam and throughout your CS teaching career.  Attending at least one office hour/mentoring session a month is mandatory.   40 Washington state clock hours are available to current teachers who successfully complete the course.
