On April 26, I was honored to present on the State of CS Education in Washington 2025 at the FUTURE Conference at Bellevue College.
The presentation aimed to provide nuance and depth to the information on Washington in the State of Computer Science Education 2024 Report using locally sourced data and information not included in the report. It is also a summary of much of my work in computer science advocacy over the past 3 years.
As a highlight, the official report gives Washington eight green grades, one yellow grade, one yellow grade, and one red grade on its policy scorecard. My interpretation gives Washington only three green grades, six yellow grades, and one red grade.
