The Marcy Lab School:
The Marcy Lab School is a recent addition to the college alternative scene, dedicated to empowering young adults aged 18-24 to kickstart rewarding careers in the tech industry. Admissions for our one-year, tuition-free Fellowship for Software Engineering are currently open, offering students the opportunity to acquire essential technical skills, undergo leadership development, and expand their professional network. With the fast-approaching deadline of May 13th, aspiring Software Engineers have a limited time to secure their spot in our program, which has successfully launched graduates into prominent roles at companies like Spotify, Squarespace, J.P. Urban Arts Summer Camp:
Urban Arts' FREE 6-week game design summer camp!
WHAT: At the School of Interactive Arts (SIA)'s 6-week summer camp, offered by nonprofit Urban Arts, students learn coding with Unity, digital art, animation, music & storytelling through game development.
WHEN: July 8 - August 16, Monday - Friday from 10am - 5pm
WHO: Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.
HOW: Our application process is simple and easy: Students join a brief online info session, then fill out our application with a parent/guardian.

Applications are encouraged from candidates including, but not limited to: racial or ethnic minorities, those who identify as female and/or LGBTQ+, first-generation college students, neurodiverse students, students with disabilities, and low-income students.
DEADLINE: Our priority deadline is May 3rd, but we encourage applicants to apply as early as possible. Make sure to sign up for an info session before the deadline!*
Spaces are limited and once all spaces have been filled, the application will close.
*NYC Title I Schools: If you believe your students would love to hear about this camp, we may be able to schedule a one-hour Game Design Masterclass in April, where students can learn about our program and have a fun, hands-on game design experience.
