The Center for Learning, Computing, and Imagination at the University of Washington is conducting a study to evaluate a new, justice-centered educational programming language from the perspective of teachers and students that you may be eligible for. Teacher voices are ordinarily excluded from the design of educational programming languages, but this study is an opportunity to have your voice heard.
If you have experience teaching computing to multilingual children or children who identify as having disabilities and are interested in participating, we will ask you to participate in three to five 2-hour design sessions between July 22nd, 2024 and August 2nd, 2024 at the University of Washington, Seattle. We will ask you to explore and discuss the design of educational programming languages. We are flexible about when these design sessions occur, and we will provide you an opportunity to tell us when you could be available later in the Google Form linked below.
We will compensate you for your time. If you are interested in learning more about compensation and signing up for this study, please consult or submit this Google Form before Monday, July 8th. If we select you to participate, we will confirm your participation before Tuesday, July 9th.
