We're excited to invite you to Session 3 of our Computer Science Community of Practice, hosted at Whatcom Community College! This session will shine a spotlight on cybersecurity education and how we can better prepare students for pathways in this fast-growing, high-demand field.

This session will feature guest speakers Michele Robinson from the National Cybersecurity Training & Education Center (NCyTE) and the Educational Pathways National Center, who will share timely insights and curriculum resources to support your classroom and program goals.
What to Expect:
· Explore the new AP Cybersecurity Curriculum
Learn what's included in AP Computer Science Principles: Cybersecurity, how it fits into high school pathways, and how to access aligned support through platforms like CodeHS and NCyTE.
· Get FREE Curriculum with RING
Check out the RING curriculum – a free, online high school cybersecurity course built for schools without existing cybersecurity programs. RING supports educators with engaging content and a strong focus on ethics, mentorship, and real-world skills.
· Classroom Integration Strategies
Get practical tips and examples for how to weave cybersecurity concepts into your existing CS, IT, and CTE courses-no full program needed!
· Cybersecurity Pathways in Action
Learn about Whatcom's Cybersecurity program and learn how students can continue their education and career preparation right here in our region.
