    Hi all,
Happy 2023! I hope everyone is doing well!
I am the chair for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computing committee for Washington. I wanted to reach out to spread awareness about the NCWIT Collegiate Award since I think this is a great opportunity to share with our undergraduate and graduate students! Please consider passing this along to any of the students you work with who might be interested! I am sending an announcement out to all Allen School students but I think that it's always more impactful when individual students receive encouragement to apply, as well :)

NCWIT is a non-profit community that convenes, equips, and unites 1,500 change leader organizations to increase the influential and meaningful participation of girls and women from diverse backgrounds in the field of computing. The award recognizes graduate and undergraduate students who are women, genderqueer, or non-binary for their technical contributions to a project! All finalists receive a $150 prize and each award recipient receives a cash prize of up to $10,000, a personalized trophy, sponsor-branded swag, recognition, and connections to the NCWIT community.

Please consider sharing this opportunity with your student networks, or if you have specific students in mind, you can submit this form, and NCWIT will let your student know you think they're a great candidate for this award. You can also copy the information from this email, or find other templates here

Students who are interested and qualify must first create or update an aspirations.org account as a college student here, and complete the Community Application due by January 24th, 2023.

You will find more information and the application here: www.aspirations.org/AiCCollegiateAward

    Warmly,

    Chloe
