The outgoing board approved these results at our annual planning retreat in late June. In addition, the new board has nominated Erin Murphy for the Vice President - Southern (ESDs 112, 105, 123) role. Here is the bio she wrote:
I teach in Starbuck, a very small rural district in Columbia county. We had a total of 26 students last year, in grades TK-8. I teach computer science in the 2nd semester and music in the 1st semester. I also teach general ed in the mornings. I have been with the school since 2019 after getting my BA in Educational Studies from WGU, then started my M. Ed. with GCU and finished in 2021. I have been teaching CS in Starbuck since 2022.
The board is still looking for someone to nominate for the Vice President - Coastal/Peninsula (ESD 113 and 114) role. Please email washington@csta-hq.org out if you, or someone you know, is interested.
The new board has already been very busy planning for the 2025-26 year, both at the CSTA Washington annual retreat and at the CSTA Volunteer Leadership summit at the CSTA National conference.
We invite you to meet the new board members, learn more about how the organization is run, and get involved with content planning for 2025-26 at the quarterly open board meeting on September 11, 2025 at 6:30pm - please register on our website up to get on the list, or email washington@csta-hq.org with any additional questions.
Congratulations, again, to our new Board!
Lauren Bricker
