The GDQuest curriculum has taken a little longer to roll out but it's almost done, they say it'll be released Jan 30th. This is what I'll start in Feb. https://school.gdquest.com/products/bundle_learn_gamedev_godot_4
I've made a bunch of game prototypes with juniors and seniors in advance so we had stuff to do. My favorites have been
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rWW2uvsziM Brick Breaker
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8-JVjtJlIQ&list=PL9FzW-m48fn0i9GYBoTY-SI3yOBZjH1kJ&index=1 Playlist to make a pixel platformer
At the end, I challenge my students to customize their games so everyone's game isn't exactly the same. They add sound, sfx, particles and more UI elements. It has gone well, although my juniors, total beginners, really need the slower pace of the course I listed above.
I have a call with W4 games next week to see if they'll have some of my students at their GDC booth on the Thursday of GDC showcasing what they are doing with Godot in my classes. W4 uses Godot exclusively.
There has been an explosion of resources for Godot since 4.0 has been released.
We will do this Vampire Survivors/Brotato clone next, maybe make it like survival at school instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwCiGixlqiU
Let me know if you are looking for something else.

Do you have any Godot resources you can share? I want to take a look.

Hey Everyone,
It's been awhile for me in here, but I really mean to come back each week.
One main goal for me is to move my students over from Github Desktop to the command line. I'm happy using git in the command line, but Github has it's own CLI application that is simplified so using gh in the CLI will work better. Everything is faster and you can authenticate right in the command line.
Another goal for me is to have a few students at the W4 Games booth showcasing their work in Godot at GDC this year. I will bring all my students to the Friday careers day, but W4 Games is open to students at their booth. I just have to check back in with them.
Another goal, and we're on track for it, is to have my seniors present their Capstone projects at the Disney Family Museum. They have a little theater downstairs and our date is May 21st. Disney is sending one of their artists who teaches classes at the museum to my classroom 8 times this spring to lead workshops like character design, world building, etc.
I'm trying to arrange my 2 courses differently and I've got some admin ears as well. I would like course 1 to be AP Computer Science. There is a CSP course based on MS Make Code Arcade so I'm hoping that can be year 1 and Game Design will be year 2. https://makecode.com/csp
I'd probably use Python, I think I saw you could do that since it's so similar to Godot's GDScript that we'd use in senior year. I find my weakest students have no programming experience and if we don't hit programming hard, they never finish ANY game projects, they just get stuck and lost in programming. District level folks like the idea, and we don't have ANY CS courses at my school right now, so it's a huge equity gap, that we'd love to fill in.
That's about it for now.

Hey guys,
I think most of us are not back on following the break.
What are your goals for your pathway this spring semester?
I have 2 big ones.
- I want at least 3 student groups to present their work at a local game show this spring.
- I want to change up and update my intro (tabletop design) course. I have been working and refining it for a while now, but I think it needs updating in terms of the types of assignments they are working on.
Hope the break was good to you and look forward to collaborating over the rest of the year.
I am going to GDC this year if any of you are, hope to meet up and talk shop.
