Do you have a club or a team that is directly or loosely related to your program?

For example, my school started Esports this year, I am actually not the coach, I have enough on my plate, but the team is made up almost entirely of my students.

I am also the club advisor for DnD club, which has a bunch of my kids, but also seems to be a valuable recruiting ground for me.

We have esports in the fall.  I am the "coach".  The kids run it completely since I am not a gamer.  It is sponsored by the local university.  Not enough kids for esports in the spring.  Golf, tennis and track take all my players which is OK with me.  It is a non-payed coaching position so I would rather be mtn biking.

I have been trying to start an eSports club and teams but I don't have any experience with it and I barely have the bandwidth for it. We actually don't even have good devices for gaming so I gave up this year on that club.

A teacher started a PC building club and basic electronics club and I started going and a bunch of my students are in it. We are almost done with our first build, but the parts were completely paid for by the other teacher. I don't know if we can build more without some kind of a budget.

I bought the school a Switch and we just put it on a big screen.  We play Smash Bros.  No computer needed.

I've got a coding club after school one day a week. We do coding projects in the Fall and do Code Quest/CodeWars practices in the Spring until those competitions are over. Then we go back to game design projects. I also sponsor the Tabletop Tactics club at my school.

I have three seasons of esports for high school and middle school, and have added a class on esports careers. We also have SkillsUSA.

We have an esports program that shares a lot of the same kids, and I am the director. It is good for recruiting kids to CS, but it is not directly attached to the program.

I'm one of three esports coaches at my school (it's one of our largest student orgs and is very competitive). Not directly related with my classes, but a lot of overlap.

I also started a TCG club this year and got a few kids into Magic, which is helpful since my intro game design class is going through Mark Rosewater's GDC talk (1 lesson a day). It gives them more vocabulary and different examples since it's often easier for them to see the mechanics for what they are in tabletop form rather than in digital games. We'll see how much that ends up being helpful for the classes, but it's at least fun for now.

We have both Fall and Spring eSports, I am the coach, however it is mostly student lead - I have four seniors that are the student Coaches. I also teach two classes back to back in the Spring for eSports. I am trying to use that class to grow my eSport teams, but I have not had much luck as of yet - most of the students who take the class don't want to stay after school to play the competition games. We also have a DnD club, and a few of our students do overlap.
