What do you want to change or grow about your program for next year?

I have learned that my students are outstripping my tech a bit in my graphics course this year. Had a student project that I voodoo'd up still take 160 machine hours across 4 laptops. So I am getting some frame crushers and looking into setting up a small render farm.

I am also going to figure out how to use to VR headsets I just got as I have never used one, let alone developed with one.

I am trying to get a digital movie making course lined up.  As a core I will use the "Unity for Animation: Road to Realtime Live Series".  I want the kids to make a movie with either Mixamo characters or characters they find in the Asset Store.  I think I will make them do a scene from a book they have to read in English.  Shakespeare or something equally fascinating.  I did this course a couple years ago but it was a first time and was therefore a bit handwavy.  I also have 7 girls that want to do a live movie making course.  Write a play, act it out and record it with phones.  Not something I know anything about but if I get kids interested in a topic I do my best to make a class out of it.  Small private school.  We can do that.

    Excellent Question Brian!

I am working on options for students to choose a pathway in my classes, choose what they want to learn and how to get there.

The link doesn't work, I am kinda interested in trying something out like this for my graphics course.

Kinda let kids choose a lane a bit.

I love the idea of tying time/complexity to points?

Do you still have things they HAVE to do or are you planning on just turning them loose?

Right now just feeling it out. I have been consulting with my artsy students on their interest. Might also ask our art teacher for his input. As with all things, it is likely to be edited, several times.
