Right now I teach 2 sections of Game Dev1 (Intro Game Design) and a section of Game Dev 2 (Computer Graphics).
In Game Dev 1, students are finishing up their puzzle game projects. Tomorrow is cool because the two periods are playing each other's games. So no one is going to be in the same room as their game being played. This puts a lot of emphasis on usability and clear instructions and rules.
In Game Dev 2, students just finished a pixel art character study and are going to start animating today. Going through the basics of Aesprite's animation system to create a bouncing slime loop. Giving them a little mini-intro to some basic animation concepts. Next week they will start doing rough humanoid animations (stick figures).
