What is your favorite game a student has made in any of your classes?

I have two that are basically tied.

    1. Cyber Puzzle was made last year by three girls in my capstone and is maybe the most complete project I have seen produced. They did it in 8 weeks from Game Design Document to turn in, hand made everything but the audio. Got nominated for a Unity Award, didn't win, but I get them all back in the spring to turn loose.

    2. The other is actually from my intro course. One of the secretly hardest challenges in my textbook is "Luck-Tac-Toe". Pretty straight forward, add chance to Tic-Tac-Toe. Easy in execution, but very difficult to make engaging, especially for intro design students.

One group had a genius idea. They made a giant tic tac toe board on the ground and made bean bags for it. Then they broke the players into two teams and blindfolded one person in order to use Hidden Information as their mechanism of chance. I have never had a testing session for a class just stop so that everyone could play a single game before or since.

I really like that Cyber Puzzle game!

I think my favorites would be these two 2D puzzle platformer games my students made:

This other game had so much potential and was done by a solo student who had an amazing knack for Game Design, but he never went back to finish it:

    Others I really liked are:
    A platformer called "The Dungeon" - https://mvhs.itch.io/the-dungeon
A 2 player fighting game called "The Floor is Lava" - https://mvhs.itch.io/the-floor-is-lava

And one game made by my intro students
