I am on a semester block, so Finals season is here.

What sort of final or culminating experiences are you doing for your students?

In my Game Dev 1 class (Tabletop Game Design), the students are doing a Game Jam. Which honestly isn't that different from what we normally do, but this time we are doing a common prompt.

My Game Dev 2 (Computer Graphics) students proposed a final project that they are basically working on for the rest of the semester, so I have students doing all kinds of stuff ranging from a pixel art chase scene, to a 3d modeled house and a bunch of other stuff.

No finals for us, though technically we have a finals block at the end of semester. I wound up relinquishing control a few weeks ago and helped students develop their own learning plan. We use an Agile methodology for keeping track, two week sprints with a presentation about what they built in that time.

Projects are all over the place. VR in Unity, 3D in UE5, GDevelop Platformers, one kid is making a donut in Blender, pixel art, and one kiddo who is alternative learning and absolutely absorbed in creating an immersive online storefront for a clothing store he wants to open up.

It's madness but that kind of classroom environment is my absolute favorite. 100% engagement.

Is your student doing the new Blender Donut? I saw that Guru launched a new one for the 4.0 release, but my students wrapped up the 3.0 donut already, so I have not touched it yet.

I am curious how you manage individual learning plans, sounds very interesting.
