President

Bobbie Bastian

Bobbie Bastian is a Computer Science and Cybersecurity educator at FutureForward at Bollman with over 19 years of experience across elementary and secondary levels. She currently serves as the CACTE ETMA Division President and contributes to the national landscape of tech education through her work on the AP Cybersecurity Development Committee. In addition to teaching AP Computer Science, Cybersecurity and networking courses, Bobbie facilitates AP Summer Workshops and previously chaired the Colorado Computer Science Standards Revision Committee.

Bobbie hopes to increase membership engagement and help new members see the value in being a member of CSTA.

Dawn Juarez

Dawn Juarez has been a classroom teacher since 2013, moving back from Texas to Colorado in 2016. I have taught lower elementary grades but for the last 4 years have been one of two FLL Lego coaches for my school for grades 2-5. My school is a computer science integration school where I serve on the computer science integration team where we work with grade levels to incorporate not only robots (Sphero's, Bee Bots, Ozobots, etc), but also work to integrate CS vocab, and tech tools into every classroom K-8 in a meaningful way.

I am excited to possibly have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the organizational side of CS education in Colorado. By serving as Secretary, I hope to develop my leadership skills and contribute in a meaningful way CSTA organization, ensuring our meetings and records reflect the diverse needs of educators across the state.
