CSTA NE HAS MOXIE! - Cultivating curiosity, creativity & risk-taking in CS!

Saturday Nov. 7th in South Portland, Maine!

Register today for this year's CSTA New England Regional Conference 2026! Maine is hosting the event at the Double Tree by Hilton in South Portland, Maine.

We believe computer science education requires moxie. (Which happens to be Maine's state drink!)

Moxie is the courage to try, the persistence to debug, and the curiosity to ask why. It is the spark that pushes students to explore the unknown and the determination that keeps them going when the code doesn’t compile.

At CSTA NE, we teach with moxie.

We encourage students to take risks, test ideas, and learn from failure. We celebrate creativity, collaboration, and the joy of discovery. We believe every student can be a problem solver, a creator, and a thinker in the digital world.

Moxie means:

  • Curiosity to explore how technology works.

  • Confidence to build something new.

  • Persistence to debug and try again.

  • Creativity to imagine solutions that don’t yet exist.

  • Community to support and learn from one another.

We don’t just teach coding. We cultivate resilient thinkers, inventive builders, and bold learners.

Because computer science isn’t just about technology.

It’s about having the moxie to shape the future!

Register today and join us for the CSTA NE 2026 Conference!
