I always talk about and use AI in my classroom. I think it is very important to talk about and learn from the tools!

Of course, I teach about how AI works, but I also demonstrate the latest AI tools and have kids try different sites that use AI.

One thing that's been happening recently within replit is that AI autocomplete got turned on automatically for everyone a week or two ago. For a few minutes, I considered it helpful as it was accurately predicting what I wanted, but then it quickly started predicting wrong. For several days I got so frustrated at it, more and more each day, until I figured out how to turn it off.

I think, like all new and emerging technologies, we need to educate ourselves and our students about it.  I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can and am seeing how I can integrate it into my lessons in a meaningful and productive way.  I want to make sure my students are trying to harness its powers and use it an another tool in their toolkit!
