Participating In-Person at Parallax Robotics in Rocklin:

That’s right!  Today, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM PT, the CSTA Sacramento October Meetup is going hybrid!  If you are interested and able, we invite you to join us at Parallax Robotics in Rocklin (599 Menlo Dr., Rocklin, CA 95765).  Our gracious hosts will deliver the monthly “Partner Presentation” and provide a tour of their operation during Appy-Hour.

If you would like to attend in person, please register at https://forms.gle/fFkYd62ryowVbdSCAThis is important so we are able to plan for appropriate room accommodations and spacing, per Placer County Public Health guidelines.  Additionally, refreshments will be provided to sweeten the meeting experience.

    Participating on Zoom:

Of course, you are also welcome to join the meeting virtually!  The program, including a Partner Presentation and Nifty Lesson will be presented on Zoom.  If you haven’t already done so,  take a moment to register here for the Zoom link.

    Chips That Encrypt!:

In addition to hearing from our friends at Parallax, we will tinker with an “unplugged” cybersecurity activity that is hosted by our friends at Cyber.org.  If you plan to participate at home, you might dig out an old can of pringles chips to participate.  Specifically, here are the few supplies you might round up:

    • Pringles can
    • Printed Paper Enigma page
      • (Print the page with Actual Size. (Do not select Fit to Page or the dimensions of the enigma will not be correct.)
    • Scissors
    • Clear tape

Check out the agenda for other meeting details!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

    Sincerely,

The CSTA Sacramento Leadership Team (Lily M., Wendy, Sean, Rudy, Jonathan, Lily C., and Jared)
