  • CSTA Sacramento Computer Science Teacher Community of Practice Meeting This Thursday

    Hello!

We hope your school year is off to a great start.

This Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM PT, we invite you to (re)connect with other K-12 and postsecondary educators from the Greater Sacramento Region and across Northern California at the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) Sacramento virtual monthly chapter meeting. Take a moment to register here for the Zoom link

This month, our chapter meeting will be hosted in collaboration with the CSTA California Far North Chapter.  Together, we will learn about Agile Project Management and how this approach to managing projects in industry can also be used as a way to engage students in project-based learning.  Sean Glantz of CSTA Sacramento will be delivering a “nifty lesson” to showcase Agile Project Management in the classroom.  Additionally, Lily Mora of CSTA National will be sharing resources for the upcoming Hour of Code and CSEdWeek.

Of course, the meeting will also include lots of time to collaborate with fellow K-12 and postsecondary educators (Speed Networking, Resource Sharing, Member Shout Outs! and the Infamous “Appy-Hour”).  Lastly, you won’t want to miss the monthly raffle that includes three fantabulous prizes.  Check out the agenda for all of the details!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

    Sincerely,

    The CSTA Sacramento Leadership Team
