To share with your chapter's members (and for you too!):
We're excited to announce the keynote speakers for the Impacts of Computing Summit, set for Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET.
- Opening Keynote: "Impactful Computing," with Dr. Christina Gardner McCune. Since her first CS project, computing has enabled Dr. Gardner-McCune to engage in personally impactful work. Now, over 25 years later, her journey in computing has transitioned from pursuing personally meaningful impacts to communal and societal impacts. Join her as she shares stories and explores insights and strategies to engage your students in their own journeys in impactful computing.
- Closing Keynote: "Fireside Chat: Students Making an Impact in Computing Today," a conversation with Okezue Bell and Sirihaasa Mallamothu. As we investigate best practices and strategies for teaching impacts of computing, let's reflect and celebrate how students are making an impact today! Join this closing fireside chat with two of our 2023 Cutler-Bell Prize winners as they share about ways they are making an impact in computing in their communities.
