  • 1.  Chapter Website Page URL Addresses

Our chapter has a webpage with a perma-link of:

    https://midhudson.csteachers.org/page/hudson-valley-digital-rally-2024

    1. Is there a way to drop 'page/' from this?

    2. Is there a way to setup a shortened address that can be changed each year?  (Ex: midhudson.csteachers.org/digitalrally points to 2023's page then next year can point to 2024's page.)

    Hi @David Czechowski

Unfortunately, MemberNoca doesn't have a clean option here for pages. If this were created as an event, there is some customization that can be done there, but then the event would only show on that calendar day and not as a page as you'd like (so not really helpful).

The simplest option would be to create a bit.ly or tiny.url to get people to the page, but I'll also look into using one of CSTA's vanity links (e.g. conference.csteachers.org) for your page. We haven't previously done this at the chapter level, but I'll check in on what the bosses here think.

These are great questions; thanks for moving the needle.

I'm sorry that I missed your post initially,

    ~ Jason

Ok, thanks.  I chose the register-a-domain-name option.

Thanks for exploring another possibility.  The conference subdomain (conference.csteachers.org) would add to the length without being meaningful.  Using the chapter subdomain (midhudson.csteachers.org) is more desirable because it is relevant.

As always, I really appreciate your understanding and help!
