Join us next week for a Chapter Leader Exclusive!

    Tuesday, November 12, 5:30 - 7 p.m. CT

(This is separate and in addition to the general membership event on November 21)

"Join us as we get ready for Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek)-a dynamic, annual event designed to inspire K-12 students to explore the world of computer science, champion equity, and celebrate the achievements of students, teachers, and partners in the field. This year's theme, "Looking Back, Leaping Forward," marks the 20th Anniversary of CSTA and perfectly captures the spirit of CSEdWeek, which takes place each December. It's a chance for students of all ages to dive into computer science, where computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving come together to shape the future. As we reflect on past accomplishments, this celebration paves the way for the next generation to leap forward into exciting new possibilities."

You will receive a calendar invite from your regional coordinator, but the Zoom information is below as well:

Salute to @Justine Chavez-Crespin for hosting our CSEdWeek24: Chapter Leaders Pre-Pre-Kickoff last night - We had nearly 70 Chapter Leaders in attendance!

Together, we all supported our thriving Chapter Leader community, fostering growth, belonging, and connection among CS educators; equipped educators with the CS teaching and learning resources they need to elevate their CSEdWeek practices; deepened and expanded leadership for CS educators in Chapter Leader roles; and demonstrated CSTA's collaborative spirit to realize our vision.

Take a look/listen to the recording below, and definitely check out the Padlet with all of the resources that Chapter Leaders shared during their regional breakouts:

    Hello Jason,

Thank you for posting this! I was wanting to use some of these details in a blog I'm writing.  I'm hoping to share some things with our chapter in a bulletin as well.  I wanted to ask if the Slidedeck, Padlet, and Commitment Form were specifically for Leaders?  Are these resources we can share out to others?

    Hello Amanda,

I'm glad to hear you're finding the details useful for your blog and the chapter bulletin.

To answer your question, the Slidedeck, Padlet, and Commitment Form were created with leaders in mind, but they can absolutely be shared more widely. Feel free to distribute them to others who might find them helpful! If there are any specific details you'd like clarification on or if you'd like to tailor any of these resources for your audience, just let me know. I'm happy to assist!

Thanks again, and best of luck with your blog and the bulletin!
