Half of CSTA+ membership revenue is directed to chapters through Chapter Grants, the Chapter Leadership Summit, and ongoing support. For the second year, CSTA is getting ready to disburse funds directly to chapters for each active (not expired) CSTA+ chapter member. We will be using the count of active CSTA+ chapter members on Tuesday, October 31 for this year's disbursement.
This means that right now is the time to (1) recruit new members and (2) work towards having chapter members upgrade to CSTA+. In fact, there is an immediate $50 savings to be had for CSTA+ members registering for the "Impacts of Computing" Summit on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
In the spirit of friendly competition, a $250 bonus will be given to each of the three chapters that have the greatest number of new CSTA+ Chapter Members by the end of October. Additionally, a $250 bonus will be given to each of the three chapters that show the largest percentage growth in new CSTA+ Chapter Members by the end of October.
You can see your chapter's current number of CSTA+ Chapter Members by logging into your chapter's website (not the CSTA main site), selecting "View Members" from the 'Member Information' dashlet, and filtering your search by "Only" CSTA+ Subscriptions. Remember, we will be using the count of CSTA+ chapter members on Tuesday, Oct. 31, for this year's disbursement and to determine bonuses for chapters.
