I wanted to share the following opportunity happening next Wednesday, June 22:
Next week, the DS4E Commitments 2022 is on Wednesday, June 22 at 1 p.m. ET!
Agenda: We will host panel sessions and guest remarks from 1-3pm ET with an awesome lineup of speakers from education, industry, philanthropy, and policy. We are especially pleased to announce that Dr. Dominique Duval-Diop (U.S. Deputy Chief Data Scientist, White House Office of Science & Technology Policy) will give the keynote address at the event. You will also hear special guest remarks from Steven D. Levitt (Author, Freakonomics). Please see here for the full agenda and line-up of speakers.
Networking track: Networking tracks will take place from 3-4pm ET. You are signed up for the teacher training networking track with Gemma Mojica of the Friday Center for Educational Innovation. We've made a backgrounder document to give an overview of the topic, introduce Gemma, and help you get to know your fellow participants. Please make sure you complete the "Crowdsourced Introductions" section at the end of the document before the day of the event!
Does hearing more about the DS4E Commitments Event make you want to share a commitment about what YOU are doing to advance data science education? We'd love to hear from you! You can find the submission form via the "Make a Commitment" button on the DS4E site.
See you next week!
Best,
Kristyn Manoukian
