    Hello leaders,

Albeit last minute, I would like to share a free PD opportunity this afternoon hosted by our friends at CAL-MSCS.

Join us for Culturally Responsive Computer Science: From Vision to Implementation, a dynamic session designed to meet district and school leaders where they are in their computer science journey. This session is intentionally structured so leaders with emerging, developing, or established CS programs can identify priorities, address gaps, and plan meaningful next steps.

Led by Victor G. Hicks, Founder of Coding with Culture, this session offers a research-backed, practice-proven framework for designing and sustaining culturally responsive computer science programs. Participants will engage in guided reflection, examine real-world examples, and leave with concrete tools, observation protocols, and a 30-60-90-day action plan aligned with your current context and readiness for implementation. The Session is designed for:

    • District CS coordinators and STEM directors
    • Curriculum and instruction leaders
    • Principals and Assistant Principals overseeing CS programs.
    • Instructional Coaches and TOSAs supporting CS teachers
    • Teacher leaders
