To share with your chapter's members:

The How We Teach Computing Summit aligns with Hello World! The Big Book of Computing Pedagogy and focuses on approaches to teaching computing in the classroom. The summit is tailored around the twelve research-based approaches to teaching and learning computing, originally developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation for the National Centre for Computing Education.

You can download a free copy of Hello World! The Big Book of Computing Pedagogy here.

    Scholarships Available!

We work hard to price events low enough so that all interested teachers are able to participate. The summit registration fees cover the costs associated with hosting the summit, including the technology platforms that we use. We have a limited number of scholarships available to support K-12 teachers for whom the registration costs are a barrier.

To apply for a scholarship, you'll need to be a CSTA+ member. Learn more
    here.

    Opening Keynote

    Closing Keynote

REAL Talk: A Panel with Classroom Teachers Discussing How They Teach Computing

Talk about pedagogy can often be disjointed and separate from teachers' reality, but not here. Join this candid conversation with three veteran elementary, middle, and high school teachers as they share their perspectives on teaching computing in today’s CS classrooms.

    • Shanti' Coaston - Computer Science Teacher | Westlake High School
    • Sandra Hartman - Computer Technology and Media Design Educator | Lehman Intermediate School
