Hello everyone, my name is Dan, and I teach Computer Science and Career & Technical Education for grades 6–12 at a K–12 public center school where 100% of students have IEPs. This year will be my first year teaching cybersecurity as a full career pathway, building on the program I launched last year. One of my major goals is to expand and strengthen that pathway, especially after seeing how powerfully students responded; 4 out of 5 earned an industry certification, becoming the first students in my school's history to take and pass a certification exam. I'm committed to growing these opportunities so more learners can access meaningful, future‑ready tech careers.

    Hi Dan,

I would love to teach cybersecurity, I do a little with the 6th graders on password safety and cyberbullying. Good luck with your new pathway!

Hi, Dan! Congrats on launching the Cybersecurity Pathway! That's amazing! Do you have Cyper Patriot teams?

    Dan,

Which IC did your students earn? I am always fascinated to discover what industry credentials others are approaching in the Cybersecurity CTE world. Also, have your students participated in the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense competition? We began this with a few teams two years ago and expanded to 14 teams last year, comprised of both middle and high school teams.
