To share with your chapter's members (and for you too!):

During Computer Science Education Week, CSTA publishes posters and resources featuring a diverse set of CS heroes to use during CSEdWeek each year in December. The purpose is to inspire students to pursue CS, celebrate people who have contributed to the field, change perceptions of who is and can succeed in CS, and expand understanding of how CS impacts other disciplines/fields. We want students to find people they can connect and identify with, so we seek a diverse group -- across many aspects of identity.

This year, we specifically aim to profile young adults, aged 18-25. They may be in college/university or working in (any) industry.  Please nominate young adults who have made a positive contribution to CS or CS education.
    Priority deadline: Sept. 11, 2023

CSTA publishes posters and resources featuring diverse CS heroes to use during CSEdWeek each year in December. This year, our focus will be on the Impacts of Computing. "Impacts of Computing" refers to the positive and negative effects of Computer Science on various aspects of our lives, including education, privacy, security, and accessibility.
We want students to know that computer science is not just about learning about coding, algorithms, and programming languages but also about helping them understand computer science's ethical, social, economic, and environmental implications.  We are looking for individuals making a difference in computer science by recognizing those whose computer science work has contributed and harnessed the good in computer science.
Please nominate those who have contributed positively to CS or CS education.
    Priority deadline: Sept. 11, 2023
