Video Game Design/Developers

Hey all, I am new to the XR world. We recently purchased Oculus Quest 3 headsets. I have students who have struggled through the startup experience with me. I plan on spending time over the summer learning with them.

At the end of the year I usually host my student projects on Itch.io, but have never tried with an XR game before.

How have other people saved/shared XR projects? 

--Post the APK file(s) to itch.io?

--WebXR?

--App Store?

--Other?

I'm in a similar spot, with some students interested in starting XR development next year. I was thinking either itch.io or the Meta App Lab. My understanding of App Lab is that it might feel more "official", but it is locked into the Meta ecosystem.

Probably can just cross-publish to both, but I don't know anything about that export process yet and if there are any key differences for OpenXR vs Quest or anything like that.

Mostly posting to follow this conversation if anyone else has that experience already!
