Be part of this year's annual CSTA Chapter Leaders March Madness challenge! We have brackets available for both the Women's & Men's tournaments. Y'all are encouraged to fill out a bracket in each!
Women's Brackets are back and I've started a pool, CSTA Chapter Leaders (W), on CBSSports.com. Join now before the tournament starts so we can compete all of March Madness.

My first time ever doing anything related to a pool or bracket. Should be a fun learning experience! Thanks for the invite!

After the second weekend and heading into the Final Four, the true Chapter Leaders are:

Men's bracket:  @Dana Weingartner with 78 points (Dana successfully picked 11th seed NC State to make the final four)

    Women's bracket: @Lawrence Tanimoto with 93 points.

Good luck to all at the Final Four!

Despite not being able to watch much of the tourney due to SIGCSE and relying substantially on AI to make my selections, I (@Lawrence Tanimoto) am tied for first after the first week of play in both the men's and women's bracket.

In the Men's bracket, I am tied with @Dana Weingartner with 46 points.

In the Women's bracket, I am tied with @Delmar Wilson with 57 points.

And at SIGCSE, I was doing important CSTA work - and not watching basketball - by helping at the Bringing Together the Western CSTA Chapters BOF event on Friday.    19 members including some from outside the Western region attended both in person and virtually.   Actually, most of the work was done by Puget Sound CSTA President @Lauren Bricker, Oregon CSTA President @Randy Macdonald, and Western Chapter Support Coordinator @Sean Glantz who apparently were too busy to fill out a bracket.  I did take a picture though. After all the games (including the most watched basketball game pro or college in 5 years) have been played, the winners are:

    Women's Bracket

    1. @Lawrence Tanimoto (157 pts)
    2. @Delmar Wilson (153 pts)
    3. @Shaina Glass (138 pts)

    Men's Bracket

    1. @Lawrence Tanimoto (138 pts)
    2. @Dana Weingartner (126 pts)
    3. @Rebekah Randall (103 pts)

Now, we all know who we want to meet in Vegas this summer!   And as a Chapter Treasurer, they can help your chapter avoid paying taxes (you still need to file, though).

Yay - I feel like a true winner!  Except Purdue didn't win it all... Close though, with the eclipse and all, it has been a good few weeks for Indiana.
I will see you all in Vegas!

And the Indiana Fever drafts Caitlin Clark #1 in the WNBA draft on April 15.  At least Indiana has something to look forward to on Tax Day.
