Strategic Recruitment to CS Classes: Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 6 - 7 p.m. CT Join us on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 6-7 pm CT to learn how to recruit students to your CS class so that CS participation mirrors the school population. Experienced teachers will share resources and strategies for strategic recruitment that you can implement this year.
Do the students in your CS classes mirror the demographics of the school or community population? Usually, the answer is unfortunately no, with significant underrepresentation of girls and non-binary students, Black, Indigenous, and Latinx students, and other marginalized groups. That being said, there are strategies for improving this. Join us to learn how to recruit students to your CS class strategically.
