Brian- looks like some very talented students in your classes this yer!
This is expected to be a super HOT day in my area (my classroom will be about 90+ degrees), so.... We get out of the classroom and head to the library. Today we are playing board games and trying to escape the heat. This is a great chance to promote teamwork, social networking, and making friends (these things are always an issue).
First Year students: Students have just completed a study of demographics/target audiences, and started learning to create a game design document. We are discussing how to generate game ideas and how AI might help with designing for target audiences {eduaide.ai (Science, 5th grade, Gamification, Quest Based)}.
We are also discussing how Games incorporate all of the topics and experiences you might be learning in school and have in life.
Next topic is Storyboarding and using Drawing tablets to create art (for the storyboard and later to make simple assets for the games).
Second Year Students: Have completed Industry Research and presentations of findings. They are now working on a Gap Analysis...What areas does the industry not currently cover that I might be able to exploit as I find my niche?

Subject: SUPER LATE Wednesday discussion - What are your students doing right now in your classes?
I have 1 section of computer graphics and two sections of Intro to Game Design right now.
My computer graphics kids are finishing up a pixel art character study.
