    Greetings as well!

    I'm really lucky to work with Sean and the chapter leaders in the Sacramento and California Far North chapters.  I also moonlight as an administrator at the Sacramento County Office of Education.  This year, I hope this community will be used to facilitate planning of a third annual statewide event.

    Hi All, 

    I am Sarah Watanabe, one of the co-leaders of the San Mateo County CSTA chapter. I am also the K12 Strong Workforce Pathway Coordinator and STEM Coordinator for San Mateo County Office of Education. I am hoping to scale up the work we are all doing across the state and work smarter, not harder, through our collaboration! No more re-creating the wheel :-)

    Hi all,

    I'm Jess Hexsel and Vice President of the Silicon Valley Chapter.
    I'm currently serving as an Albert Einstein Fellow in D.C. at CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in DHS), on a leave of absence from Gunn High School in Palo Alto, CA.
    I'd love to continue building collaborations within the state, and nationally, and love to know how I can best support our work during my time in D.C.!

    I am happy to work with extraordinary chapter leaders in the Sacramento and California Far North chapters. I enjoy being the Technology Manager for both chapters. I am the STEM and Computer Science Coordinator for Stanislaus County Office of Education. I look forward to learning, advocating, and expanding computer science around the state of California.

    Hello everyone!

    I am very fortunate to work with both CSTA Sacramento and California Far North Chapters. My role as an Ed Specialist at Mendocino County Office of Education involves a lot of things including Computer Science Education and Ed Tech. I am looking forward to collaborating with other chapter leaders to share resources, events, and recruit more elementary and middle school teachers to our chapters.

    Hello all! So glad to see everyone chiming in and all the activity in our new community!

    I'm Sean Glantz (my name is not, in fact, West Chapters...) and I'm the CSTA Chapter Support Coordinator for the Western region and a Chapter Leader for CSTA Sacramento. I also teach a four course CTE SSD pathway at Da Vinci Charter Academy in Davis, California and manage our school's new makerspace!

    I'm really grateful for all the work folks have done to coordinate statewide collaboration and am hopeful we can serve as a model for other states and regions to strengthen cross-chapter relationships.

    Hello fellow chapter leaders!

    My name is Mitch Middler and I co-founded the Southern California South Bay chapter of CSTA and am currently serving my second term as president. 

    Professionally, I teach CS at Redondo Union High School and El Camino Community College.  I transitioned into teaching about 5 years ago after a long career as a software engineer, so if anyone has any CS career questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them for you.

    I am excited to collaborate with everyone here and to learn how others have built and maintained their chapters in a way that is meaningful to members.
