I live in SF so I'll around whenever anyone comes in.
Every year for the last few years I attend the Github Open Source party at Github headquarters. It's not K-12 or EDU specific but the food and drink is excellent and it's free. I have also met very interesting people there. You do have to register in advance as it "sells" out.
There will be a meetup at Noisebridge, an open source hackerspace in SF, for Godot users either the Sat before OR after, not sure yet. You don't have to use Godot but if you are more interested in indie game dev and open source projects, come on down. If you've ever read Cory Doctorow books, some of his early works took place in and around Noisebridge, although it moves every few years. If you don't know who he is, maybe you've heard the phrase enshittification, he coined that word.
There is also usually a meetup at one of the local arcades/brewcades which are fun to go to.
I also have a dog and love walking around parks and nature here. If anyone wants to meet up I'm down. I don't too many of the industry events as I'm looking for meeting more interesting people doing interesting things.
