Video Game Design/Developers

Does anyone have any experience making animated cartoons with Unity?  I have seven girls who want to make some movies next year and I thought making cartoons would be so cool.  Write a script, build their own characters (Blender, MakeHuman, Miximo, ReadyPlayerMe, Maya), build some scenes, build the movie and YouTube it.  I found these tutorials https://youtu.be/saOHaHKSOi0 and https://youtu.be/T7AdzwW7n2I.  They seem to be part of a series by Unity but I cannot find a defined series anywhere and these really are not enough for beginners to start with. I need a "Procedural Animation for Idiots" series.  I have just started digging so there may be a lot out there I have not found.
